Getting A Leg Up

By ChiliMan
I saw this little fella on Saturday. Pretty thing, ya? This is a cropped image as I couldnít get any closer Sad He was about 1cm long without the antennae.

I donít know why but I love that right rearmost leg up on the leaf edge Grin

Lynne, thanks for letting me know green chillies make the best jam. Iím gonna Google Ďchilli jam/marmalade recipesí to learn the basics. From there, I will tailor the process. Thatís what I usually do when I look up recipes online Smile

Joline, thanks for the cream cheese and crackers suggestion!

Chris, thanks so much for the chilli melt toastie! Definitely gonna try that Smile

I love all these cross-cultural/cross-geographical ideas and sharings. We learn so much this way, ya? Especially when it comes to food, Ďcos thatís my primary love above all else. What can I sayÖIím a total piggy wiggy Grin

A tiny struggle going on, heaving himself up. The effort in that right leg is so universally understandable.
I do think the site needs a cookery sub-section at this rate!

You put your right back leg in
You put your right back leg out,
In, out, in, out,
Shake it all about,
You do the Okey Cokey and you turn around
- That's what it's all about!

Sorry, Andrew - couldn't help it Grin

Excellent macro again btw Wink

I was looking for a leg up on my last visit to the docks Andrew !!
(For my image I mean,as it was rather high up.)
And I do not need all that cross cultural sharing stuff you talk about.
I have a Pizza,Chinese, and Indian takeaway just at the bottom of my road !!
Good shot, but I hope I do not see one of those crawling over one of my takeaways !!

Excellent image, I like the way you haven't got in to close and shown some of its surroundings.

Straining away - an uphill struggle. We feel his endeavour.
Well OK, perhaps not, but that leggy's just so cute. Smile

First class shot with the perfect title Andrew, love it! Would give you my recipe for marmalade if I had one Smile I never bother with such things so every time I make something it's that wee bit different, which IMHO only adds to the pleasure of consuming the results!

I don't think I've ever put a UA on a macro insect shot before... But this one is exceptional, in a lot of ways. Macro photo journalism, in a way.

I like this very much - in particular the wonderful wavy edge to the leaf - so not just a super capture of the insect - but lovely curves in the composition Smile
