Happy Easter!!

By ChiliMan
Now stop eyeballing these eggs, bub!

Mrs Bug

Happy Easter everyone Smile

Ok, so I had NO likely Easter images except this one which has EGGS in gimme that, people! *grin*

This is from the archives. I found this leaf in the garden with this shieldbug in front of these eggs. At first I thought the bug was gonna eat these 'butterfly' eggs. I gently cut off the branch and laid it on a table...and a while later, no snacking had happened. Then it hit me, " they're HER eggs".

I then placed it on a white piece of paper and shot this under my desk's fluorescent light.

She stayed with her eggs the whole time. Don't mess with Mama!

Alrighty...I'm gonna take myself off and reply to some PMs and then be off to bed. I'll be catching up on everyone's pfs soon. Hope you all've had a good weekend and haven't OD'ed on chocolate.

PS Possum, thank you soooooo much for the award for Hawkie! You GEM Smile

Very sharp and deceptively simple: you've really cracked this style haven't you?

You know, I really thought you'd manipped some eggs onto this image! And I've just realised I haven't had a SINGLE bit of chocolate yet.

An amazing capture boyo.
What a wonderful protective mum she is.
Those little eggs look a bit like chocolate beans....that reminds me, the only chocolate I've had this Easter was some chocolate spread on a couple of crispbreads Smile

I am SO very impressed with this image, Andrew. All of my bugs are taken in situ and therefore I hardly ever get such amazing detail of the underneath, as you have. And as for her eggs, they are so incredible, and all lined up like soldiers. Will she expect them to behave so perfectly when they are hatched? "Don't mess with Mama" is so funny. By the way, did you return leaf, bug and eggs to their previous environment?????
