[6/6/2014 EDIT: V4 just added. Lynne's Mod combining the sky of V1 with the water of V2. Brilliant. Oh...and I've just changed the title to Simon's suggestion.]

Loved reading the response to yesterday's upload Smile

Now I love skies...and as far as skyscapes, cloudscapes, sunsets and sunrises are concerned, I prefer as little as possible sticking out into my sky. Stuff on the ground is fine. Less intrusive.

[And yes, at that very moment it is MY sky (so keep your grubby hands off) Grin ]

And if I can find an angle to exclude intrusions, I will use it. IF NOT, however, I will still take the shot, intrusions be damned. 'Cos the bottom line is, I wanna capture that sky and it'll never come round again. Also, when I look at the picture, I end up admiring just the sky anyway.

So there you go...that's me on the inclusions of 'intrusions', as it were Grin

OOH! I tell you what "intrusions" I really don't mind - cranes!! I don't know what it is about them. Whether in silhouette or non-silhouette. Cranes against interesting skies always look good... I seem to be rambling Blush

MOVING ON...'s one of several sky shots I took in the past one week. I decided to take my polarising filter for a long overdue outing. The originals were just 'ok' so I decided to do something flamboyant with both of them combined Grin

The original shots are in Vs 2 and 3 for those interested. Each taken with the polarising filter ring twisted in the opposite direction.

PS Stuck for a title! Any suggestions? Smile

I like the fantasy version, V1, but with the other two I want the sky of V2 with the water (slightly modified) of V3. Of the two I prefer V3. No mods enabled so I will send you what I mean.

Drama Galore. I hear your argument for exclusion, yet human nature calls for a person or boat hull in the ' setting ' you created. V1 is a really pleasing artwork. A small mermaid subject in the lower left third would be OK. TG

Sorry Andrew, but I cannot cope with the green in #1. The others are good. So do I vote, "yes" for enterprise!

I keep flitting between all three Andrew. I really like the originality in V1 and also like V3 but the clouds are amazing in V2. Wish I could come up with a fitting title. Cathy

Hurrah for Andrew! You had a great time with yourself and your polarizer filter!

Personally, I hate to use mine--so I don't!

Blimey, Andrew, you've gone all technical on me...!
Here's a simple wildlife photographer, faced with a psychedelic sky and water image ...
and my mind's gone numb (not difficult at my age & it's the tablets, you see...Wink )
With that green water, I think you could call this one 'Mars', just needs a few green men, for a sense of scale Wink
I know, you give up me... and I don't blame you..!

PS: I like V3. LOVELY Sky Grin

V3 is the pick Andrew, you certainly know how to compose a good landscape shot.
