Not Darting

By ChiliMan
This is one of them incidental moments. I was out in the driveway to photograph some clemati when this fella settled on a branch right in front of me. Not only that, it sat still and posed nicely! Canít complain, really Grin

It has different positions on the branch 'cos it took off and landed immediately a couple of times. But sat still each time Smile

Very big thank yous to Hilary (dolphinlady) and Ray (Billyray) for their User Awards on my orchids. Well chuffed SmileSmile

The orchids smell heavenly at night, by the way.

Yup...amazing colour, huh? I fiddled with highlight, shadow and contrast but didn't touch saturation at all.

It sort of drapes itself over its perch, almost but not quite listlessly. Maybe the word should be languorously Wink
Excellent shots.

I doubt if it could spell languorously but I'm sure it would be flattered that such an elegant word was used to describe it. Super images Andrew.

Wow that is a strikingly coloured dragonfly Andrew, it makes our red common darters appear quite plain and boring in comparison. You certainly have some exotic insects in your country
Stunning image Andrew.. The red colour against the green is perfect, with superb wing detailing..
Worthy of the awards

The color of this insect is just amazing....hard to miss him among the greenery. I'll be he tastes bad to the predators, so he can wear his fancy dress.
