Oh No!!

By ChiliMan
Thanks, Sue ( Sue118 ), for your lovely User Award on “Waspy”. What a fantastic surprise GrinGrin

And thanks to everyone for their comments and votes…what a response!

Now then…back to the flower show. I found myself trying to take frame-filling close-ups of orchids…as close as the camera would allow. Which is when I found ‘human figures’ in some of the orchids. Here’s an example. Doesn’t it look like someone clamping their hands to the sides of their face in an ‘Oh no!!’ gesture??

V2 is the frame-filling shot.
V3 is pulled back to show the whole orchid – a Disa hybrid.
V4 is the ID plate. From the plate, this orchid doesn’t have its own name but it’s obviously a cross between two other hybrids.

Alrighty…enough with all that…more pics of the flower show to come in days to come Grin

Andrew

Great shots, Andrew, lovely exposures.
At first sight, I thought that you had taken up medical, or forensic, photography. Tongue Grin Wink

What a fabulous colour and how well you've held all the details! My favourite has to be V3 but great seeing the close-ups too.
