Plain Tiger Revisited

By ChiliMan
First off, Iím gonna make very sure I donít keep bombarding you with images of the Plain Tiger. But Iím just so taken with these recent visitors Smile At the most one more upload after this.

They were back again today. Iíd grabbed the Olympus to try to get some more shots. But the low battery sign appeared. So I pressed my trusty old A430 into service. Iím quite pleased with how this one turned out.

Now the vignettingy type thing is an attempt to get rid of an annoying branch. Youíll see the offending miscreant in the upper right corner in V2, which is the uncropped unvignetted shot.

As always, all crit taken on board, so donít hold back.

Andrew Smile

The presentation of V.1 is beautiful, Andrew. Would love to know what the shrub is, though, I have one in my garden and have never known its name Smile Carol

Danaus chrysippus chrysippus sounds like crispy Danish bacon

Lovely delicate work. Smile And a vignette is an excellent device for hiding unwanted details. I may have used it once or twice myself. Wink

A fantastic close up of this beautiful butterfly, you've captured its colours and wing patterns in such intricate detail. This is one of your very best Andrew and the Canon Powershots are perfect for macrowork, my old A400 did me proud for years until it finally packed up just under a year ago

This is a stunner, Andrew, and that plant is beautiful too, but not too bright so that it takes attention away from the butterfly.

A beautiful butterfly in the danaus family. Don' think we have this in Texas, but we have the beauitiful Monarch and the Queen, both in the same family, and frequent visitors in my garden.

Very nicely presented.
