The Dragon Chronicles

By ChiliMan
Hey, people Smile

Here is a long overdue upload of the dragon fruit flower from the opposite house neighbour’s pavement.

I hadn’t been well from Friday to Monday which is why I haven’t been around. Can’t even remember why I wasn’t around before that ‘cos my last upload was like 9 days ago!

Anywho:

V1: The bud growing over some days, with the dates.
V2: All taken on the 20th of May, with the times.
V3. A straight-from-cam shot to show where it was growing on the neighbour’s pavement. The flower was about 6.5 feet from the ground.

-----

HUGE THANKS to Ian (youmightlikethis) and Christine (ChristineD) for their wonderful User Awards on ‘Husky’.

-----

Now I’ve taken a lot of pics this week…which is great. But it’s gonna be torture deciding what to upload tomorrow and the rest of this week. At least I’ve got Silly Sunday’s pic sorted Smile Unless something sillier comes along!

Andrew

Wondered where you'd got to! Nifty bit of time lapse. Interesting it flowers at night.

Unless something sillier comes along! - sounds like a scene from Monty Python (Ministry of silly walks sketch)

First of all, I love the idea of the time lapse bud and secondly I love the way you've taken and presented it so beautifully. A work of art, for sure. v2 is also stunning - I'm amazed the way it flowered so quickly, and there you were all the time, waiting for its emergence! Welcome back Andrew with these beauties and for tempting us in that naughty way about Sunday's upload!! I just can't compete! SmileSmileSmile

I hope you are feeling better now, I had wondered why it'd been quiet on the 'Chiliman' front.
A great sequence of images. I saw a dragon fruit for sale the other day, never seen one before...and now you upload the flower, what are the chances? lol

Altogether superb work, Andrew. I especially love those taken at night with the dark bg and of those the very final one simply delights my eyes with its clarity and beauty.

So sorry you haven't been well and trust you have made a full recovery now?
