The Tropics in a Maserati

By ChiliMan
Ok, my 3rd pic was the travellator (moving walkway) pic, right? Which I took on my way to a buffet lunch my bro took us to.

After the lunch, outside the hotel, sat this black Maserati. I took two shots of it just for fun. Both lowish angle - one from the right front corner, one from the left back corner.

When I got home and looked at the pics on the computer, I noticed something in the front shot. Some palm trees refected in the body. I kinda liked how it looked.

So I cropped it, resized it, pushed blue, and sharpened it.

I love reflections. Must keep my eye out for good ones in shiny cars so I can take good isolated shots right there and then.

Wow...thanks for all the compliments and votes everyone! Especially for such an incidental photograph.

It's funny 'cos pictures I take for myself more often than not turn out better than those I specifically take for a competition (entered two since I got my camera! Wheee!!! Didn't win anything, but who cares!!), etc.

I.e., the spontaneous/candid seem to come out better than the posed/set up.

I'm really looking forward to posting my next picture. A funny one, kinda. From the very same buffet lunch day but during the lunch IN the restaurant itself.

Ok, enough of that...I'll see you all tomorrow!

Welcome ChiliMan, to epz-- I know what you mean--rediscovering--

I love reflections and this one is exceptional-- Good eyes! Great all around image--light, focus, crop, etc.

As to the Lady Alice-- a lily of some --Asian or Oriental--kind-- don't know what a gloriosa is???
Breck's sells them-- or Dutch gardens-- not sure which.. ....Thanks for looking--

Hi Andrew, getting yourself a digital camera has sure paid off. You are producing some imaginative stuff. I like the patterns formed by the reflections in this shot, reminds me, I must clean my car. Well done , John

Thanks again for all the comments, everyone! This has been such an upbeat week. Hope you all have a great weekend and I'll be back tomorrow with something more interesting than a turkey (if you've seen the pic I submitted after the Maserati).
