Vapour Trails

By ChiliMan
Thanks for the lovely response to, and comments in, my last upload, all Smile

Now then…here are three of many skyscapes from yesterday. Really nice skies and weather BUT I didn’t have my polarising filter with me. I hadn’t planned on getting any sky shots when I’d gone out, see? Nevertheless, Note-To-Self: ALWAYS BE PACKING.

As it turned out, my initial BAHing was forgotten ‘cos I ended up with some shots I’m quite happy with anyway.

Here’s a view which greeted me when I got back home. I stepped out of the car and BANG, the remnants of two vapour trails crossing Smile Quite a nice sight, huh?

Fortunately I took the shots before unloading the car ‘cos in no time the trails got even fainter and less defined.

All 3 processed with the i-Enhance mode applied in the Olympus software.

Love the skies Andrew and the crispness of the shots but the angles of some of the buildings are making me dizzy!

V2 is the wackiest, particularly with the foliage at the top. It breaks all the rules, or most of them, very creatively.

Don't feel at all dizzy. Glenorangie counteracts such things. Great spot on your part Andrew.

Super shots of the vapour trails.
I always wonder where the plane's destinations are, when I see these in the sky, Andrew.
Then I found this wonderful website, which tells of the astonishing amount of planes in the sky, virtually anywhere in the world.
Mind-blowing stuff..!

Actually, I was sooo trying to exclude the foliage but I just couldn't get the trail into the corner and that house on the bottom lined up. Stupid leaves GrinBlush

v2 looks almost surreal... just needs a bit of a house in the top left corner as well.

Good results without the polorizer AndrewGrin
I like those little whispy clouds, they look like the pawprits of a dog thats slipped in mud......or maybe its the bear print tattoo's from my hippy, he must have smeared them when applying his "Ambre Solair"Wink....

As much as I love puffy clouds, I do have a major thing for the wispy/feathery ones. I tend to be more adamant about catching those Smile

Love the Red Roof Andrew, it really set's these images off. V2 kind of does it for me, but I do like them all.
