Blue rhapsody...

By Chinga
The Theme: Colour!
Blue is associated with the throat chakra, which deals with willpower and communication. Blue is a calming colour, good for curing insomnia. It can be used for throat problems, asthma, stress, and migraine, and it is good for improving verbal skills.
Blue is cooling to the body's system. It is relaxing. It is quieting to our energies, and it has an antiseptic effect. It strengthens and balances the respiratory system. It is also excellent for high blood pressure and all conditions of the throat. It is beneficial to venous conditions of the body. Blue is very effective in easing all childhood diseases, along with asthma, chicken pox, jaundice, and rheumatism. It is one of the most universally heating colours for children. It can also be used to awaken intuition and to ease loneliness. It awakens artistic expression and inspiration.
Thank you to Fred (Fred263) for his fabulous UA on the "Colour matters" images. Thank you Fred! Grin

and I have decided to paint my house blue, Chinga.. and in fact I felt a little bit of healing just as I watched these lovely images of yours.. (but won't give you any fees, eh eh.. Wink ).. But I am sure you have posted these to impart knowledge about the color blue.. silly are the people who relate it with sadness..

I had tried to follow the advice you had given me sometime back - embrace spirituality! But sadly, people were not so cooperative.. Sad

Enjoy your day.. Grin will post the color version of the bug in half an hour.. I know you will love it!!

An interesting narrative supported by four wonderful and in many ways quite thought evoking compositions.

Thanks for sharing Isabel.

Four soothing images although I find V4 quite invigorating!
V1 is lovely with the bit of pure white lace.

A 'bluetiful' set, Isabel - and very interesting facts about 'blue', too!
I presume V1 was taken in Portugal?

Well, Isabel, that's a very interesting write-up, think I need more blue in my life! Smile A great set of images, and go for V4 as my fave, for the lines and angles - and extra blueness! SmileSmile

Love the effect the lace has against the blue door the blue and reminds me of Cornwall, sunshine and holidays (although I understand it has been raining in Cornwall today.

All lovely Isabel with V1 being my out and out favourite, with the pretty cotton lace behind the door, blowing in the breeze, a wonderful write up to accompany your lovely work . A lovely calming colour too.

Blue is not the colour for security, though. That door doesn't have any glass in the window. It's a nice picture for all that.
