Of course, having good light, makes the colours really stand out, as your four show.
They make a very interesting 'mouse-over' too, with the figures adding a sense of scale.
In Tsavo, a game park near the coast of Kenya, there is red earth. I have a very amusing shot of a red Elephant..!
