Last upload until I get back from Portugal. This is from Alcantarilha a village near my place.
The parish church of Alcantarilha of the Immaculate Conception, built in the sixteenth century, Manueline style, is the main monument of this pretty village, classified as a place of public Interest.
There have been various changes to the Church , particularly after the 1755 earthquake, stressing the construction of the choir, a work was requested in 1876 by the King. (The tiles and saints are the originals still in place).
Hope you like it...
My apologies for so few votes, but I have worked long shifts right up to today... A very grateful thank you to all you lovelies who sent such sincere and kind good wishes for mums recovery. Very touching and very appreciated. Thank you!
