Grasshopper (Spanish type)

By FeatherFriend
Hi all, I think this is a type of Grasshopper but it's not green like we have in the UK, rather a smoky grey with tinges of dark blue in colour. Taken in Bocairent, Spain during a short holiday, the BG is the swimming pool where I stayed.
Many thanks for the votes and comments on my previous upload and a special thank you to CarolG, EAS, Brian65, mex, Glostopcat, Craggwildlife and KBan for the UA's, very grateful for the support and so much appreciated,
Regards,
Geoff.

They look different every time .. Had one last year. They really adapt to the stone, depending on where they live. Can't look now as I am 10000 kms from home but if nobody tells you I'll try on a French web site.

Well spotted Derek, I never noticed that but it's strange that you can't see any damage, maybe he lost a leg in a fight Wink

Geoff.

PS: not sure but could it be growing another leg, look at the rear end, something looks odd

A terrific close up of this beautifully marked grasshopper, he is most definitely a hopper as he's missing a leg!Wink
