It's a difficult dilemma.....I tend to give my cash directly to The Salvadtion Army knowing it will go directly to help those in need .

Sadly it's not just Christmas that people are sleeping out, also begging. and it's happening more and more. So well done on making a Xmas hamper to give out. I always make a point of stopping to talk, if possible, also wishing them well with a handshake - but it's never enough... Peter

In my city there are a lot of rough sleepers it’s a rotten situation to be in and in this day and age surely there is a better way.

good soul, dear Isabel, how kind of you to prepare some goodies to give out to the homeless... not so many homeless people in Moscow these days and no chance seeing them sleeping outdoors at -10C...

Unfortunately these sorts of scenes can be seen in all cities and towns, more so than ever nowadays, and must surely be a comment on the sort of society we have allowed to happen.

It's hard seeing these people and difficult to image how they got there in th first place...so many reasons, not always of their own doing, and the problem seems to be getting worse. My award goes to you for being such a nice person Isabel. Pam
