Splash 13

By achieverswales
Thanks everyone for all comments votes and award yesterday, last Thursday at our photography club we had a talk on macro photography and some of the images were of water splashes! Thought I would give it a go with very basic equipment, a lot of trial and error produced some good results about 80 from 300 taken, I could not get the water crown that the guy was getting with his splash captures, any of you done this type of photography then any help would be appreciated for me to get better results, V2 I think looks like a seal balancing a ball on his nose

Radio triggers are the answer, but you have to be dedicated to 'splash the cash' (sorry!)
Well done for having a go, Trev, I wouldn't have patience with it.

Beautifully clear!

I'm not totally sure, but I think you get a 'crown' when the upward 'drip' meets a downward 'drip' (i.e. dropping two drips)

I'm sorry I'm the fifth person to use the same word - 'superb' - but it's the first one that came to mind. Clarity and colours first class. Smile

300 shots taken, my compact would have burnt itself out, or I would have developed trigger finger. Well done Trevor. Eric.

Beautiful shape and colour Trev. I once tried it in a dark room with the shutter open and popping a hand held flash.

I've seen this technique explained in Digital Photo magazine, but never actually tried it myself....for one thing, it looks rather messy - not to mention being very tricky! Wink Two great attempts here though, Trev, and think V1 has to be my fave Smile
