my wife spotted this caterpillar on a plant in the garden i looked on the internet an could not find anything like.its probably quit common,could anyone help me to identify it please.Chocky

Looks very like a white marked tussock moth caterpillar. Native to North America but sometimes found over here. Coloring isn't quite right so it might be a close cousin but I'd say its of that family.
