Winter sunset at Chesteron Windmill

By carbonbianchi
Spent all day driving to Snowdonia in blizzards hoping to get snowy mountain landscape shots. When I got there an overturned lorry had shut the road so I didnt get the shots I'd hoped for. Driving home I noticed the sunset and stopped off four miles from home to frame this (Chesterton) windmill against the setting sun. I was glad to at least have got something from the day!

A cold scene, warmed by the orange hue in the sky.

It was worth the drive for this gorgeous image - so bleakly solitary and still so very beautiful .

A really gorgeous shot.
