Sun Burst over Carl Wark

By Chris_C
Returned to Higger Tor yesterday to the same spot as the previous upload but alas the wind was just as strong, making it impossible to get a sharp image. So I retreated to Shelter Rock to get out of the wind and find an alternative viewpoint and composition. It was worth the effort and the wait, treated to an amazing bit of light as the clouds parted and allowed the sun to burst through.

Technical stuff - this is three images 2 stops apart exposure blended in Photomatix Pro and then post processed in Lightroom/Photoshop.

Thanks for looking!

Chris

Stunning shot !!....great atmospherics, & lots of depth from the F/G rocks !!!!
That's a belter Chris, very well processed and held for the highlights. beautiful composition with the cool tones of the rocks in the foreground set against the warmer background.

Best Wishes, Dave.
Has been a bit breezy just lately! - some very dramatic light and colour in this one.
