Thought the place looked familiar! Nice shot! The sky is perhaps just a little bright such that it draws the eye from the rest of the image where the interest lies. Wonder if darkening the sky slightly would work? Just a thought.

Stunning, really like that thin layer of mist/fog in the background. Beautiful colours and quality of light too.

Thanks folks - suppose I'd better come clean. The "mist" wasn't actually mist - twas a bonfire that someone had in their garden. I had to wait for it to go out and for the smoke to drift around a bit before taking this Wink
I still like the effect it gave though.

Very nice - like it a lot - the mist/cloud/bonfire in the distance really rounds it off

Like the patch of mist - works well. Does lighting a bonfire count as manipulation though Smile

Deserves so much more than a measley 10 Chris. A strong composition with nice simple but effective foreground. Great colours in the background. And the smoke looks enough like mist to me!!

Great shot.

Cheers Adam. Coming from you, it's very welcome indeed.
As to the smoke, I did wait for it to disperse after the bonfire had gone out Wink
