Magnificent. I love the way the light appears to pick out the buildings, while the boat stands strategically in front of that bright part of the sky. The low angle is superbly effective. Subtle, understated, a real joy.

Certainly looks cold. Often warm landscape scenes have a wow factor that makes you immediately like them. But then it quickly passes. An image like this really gives off much more atmosphere and makes you want to linger and feel glad you're not physically there. Although not as popular, I prefer dark, cold brooding landscapes and this one fits the bill. If I'd been there, I would have been taking shots of the chain and sand and missed the wider shot. Good work Chris.
