Dark Splash

By ChrisC2000
This is a single drop of food dye into a very thin layer of milk in a black tray One flash to the front left, one to the right. Set on 1/64th power to freeze the action, from what I figure it's about 1/40,000th effective shutter speed.

I really wanted the splash to 'pop' out of the background.

Perfectly captured and great timing, not too sure if the left hand side is too big but I agree it should not be central either, just my view on a great image.

Like it. Pop it certainly does.

Hello Chris and welcome. That is a very original water splash, producing a marbled crown and very nicely placed in the frame for strong composition.
