Porsche Speedster.

By chrisco
inspired by some other car photography on the site I decided to have a go at this one taken at a classic car meet a while back.Lots of work involved but i'm quite pleased with the final result.
Any comments etc. appreciated,
Thanks for looking,
Chris.

Its a good image, my only criticism is you have removed the grass on the left hand side of the image and made it black, making the sky to close to the ground. A tad to tightly cropped at the front of the car and where you have darkened the clouds near the top of the windscreen you have made the chrome around the windscreen a little dark.
Having said this its a really good attempt for a first try and you should be pleased. Was it taken with a sigma 10 - 20 mm lens..?

Hi,I made the grass dark there to ease the blend of land and sky and to concentrate the attention on the car itself, didnt think it looked too bad personally!.........,but thanks for the feedback Smile .Yep,taken with the sigma 10-20,
Chris.

The low viewpoint and Sigma perspective distortion certainly make for a high impact shot. My only niggle would be to suggest that you've maybe cropped a bit too tightly at the bottom of the image.

Spent some time looking at this. Partly because it is one of my favourite cars and partly because it is such a powerful shot. Mono conversion works for the subject and the dramatic working of the sky is good. I disagree with the earlier comments as I find the blend and the overall dark mood adds strength to the picture. I do agree with DaveU that there needs to be a little more space at the bottom of the frame and that is for methe only thing I would like to see changed.

Well worked and the time spent worth it.

Ta all Smile.Points taken, and thanks for making them Smile .I was trying to make the car 'loom' out of the shot, thats the reason its so close to the bottom of the shot.I'll try another version and post it when done.
Ps.,just got in from work Sad ,thats why my reply is late.
Thanks again,
Chris.
