Wow! You must be really thrilled to have even seen one of these in the wild John. Well done to get this image. I wouldn't want to be any kind of prey with this bearing down on me.
Technically, you can't compare this sort of shot with one of a bird sitting on a branch where you had your camera on a tripod and ten minutes to check your focus.
Pleased to give my first ever User Award to this. Well done mate.

This is enormously difficult exposure-wise. I had a few from this angle, but they were all pretty well silhouetted.
