Dedham In The Mist

By chrisrudland
Misty dawn at the Vale between Flatford Mill and Dedham, would have been much more frosty on the foliage but when I got there I fell in while trying to stand to close to the edge a bit further up stream.

Got wet up to my knees and had to go back to the car and get changed. I did manage to push the tripod over onto land though otherwise it would have gone in the water with my 30D on top of it.

Who laughed!! Its not funny it was very cold and I nearly went straight home I was so angry.

Chris

Like the graduation from the sharp, well defined colours in the foreground, to the pastel effects in the background. Nice work.
Well worth getting wet for!

This is a gorgeous image, looks slightly crooked though, needs a slight rotation to the left.

Thanks you lot for your comments,

Terry (tepot),

It is level trust me, don't judge it by the land falling off to the right. I use a Stabilia spirit level bubble strapped onto my hotshoe, which is very accurate.

What a beauty, Chris. Oustanding detail in the foreground and the misted distance speaks for itself. Exquisite in every way.
