Here we have more pictures taken from Sunday's sand racing at Mablethorpe.

As you can see the snow is coming down the wind was blowing and it was bitter cold but these crazy people kept coming at high speed for both their enjoyment and the entertainment of all oh spectators.

This spectacular happens every other weekend on a Sunday morning Mablethorpe Beach and if you're ever in the area is well worth visiting.

Once again I ask, if any of you can give me any tips and advice when it comes to taking action pictures at high speed it will be very much appreciated.

Super set of shots. I'm not sure how you've taken these in terms of settings but high shutter speeds (possibly requiring a high ISO), an auto focus setting of A1Servo (at least that's the setting on my Canons) and a continous shooting mode all help to get the action. If you know where action is going to happen you could prefocus and wait.

V1 for me.

slow the shutter speed down when you first start to 1/350th/1/250th and then get slower and slower at each meeting.

your photos at a higher shutter speed will be sharper, but then keep practicing each event and gradually get slower and they will get sharper, with correct panning.

As soon as you can see the object in the frame start following it with your eye, and when it goes past you, you should pan at near enough the same speed as the object is going.

thats a quick bit of info.
Scott & Antony thanks for the advice
