Quote:Very nice, I can't tell where you had to clone out people at all. Thats something I need to learn how to do yet.

Thanks, Brian... Three people were sat on the rocks next to the tree in the middle, and there were another 3 or 4 in front of and behind the tree to the left. Cloning isn't that difficult to do - especially with a leafy background, as it's a random pattern. Just clone from different areas of the background with a little softness. Mix it up with slightly less opacity and merging different parts, just to make it look a little more random. The trick is to avoid repetition and patterns, otherwise it looks faked.

Just to give an idea of scale, the larger of the boulders towards the middle of the top third of the shot was about 4ft high

Great tones and lighting in this shot, lovely model and that wouldn't be an old Tokai I see, would it? (In which case, nice guitar too!)

It's really great treatment for the subject, and I like the frame you've used - enhances the image nicely. Maybe the colours are a little vivid to be 'old' though?

Orange pillar? Oh yeah, I see it now! Wonderful shot though!

Awesome lighting - I'd be very interested to find out what lighting setup you used? The image works really well, and I really like the way the outline of the guitar is highlighted with the binding.

One very minor point is the small flash of the red strap that is poking through from underneath the neck - I might have cloned it out. Other than that, spot on!

And the bad playing? Looks like a 'D' shape but played at the 3rd fret... Might explain why it sounds like a plate of pancakes! Wink

I agree, it's a good abstract. It would have been loads better if the platform was in focus though. Just my 2p worth...
