The pose is nice, the head on an angle works well, I tend to do that with my portraits(not that I'm an expert!). I'm presuming you used on camera flash, this can flatten the shapes a little. Try to use window light without flash or if you have a flash gun, bounce the flash off a cieling or wall to soften the light. Hope that helps!

For the first time I think you did a wonderful job. Good composition. The lighting looks very natural to me. Good work.

Its a nice attempt, and a nice model. The hand is awkwardly placed and tends to distract from a terrific face and eye contact, - could be an ad for rings!

Loaded some mods as suggestions, hope you both approve.

Super eye contact, a lovely shot.
Slightly oversaturated, but still very nice.

Window light and less saturation would make this nice shot excellent. But well worth a click for the lovely face and expression!
