1 bought you 4 gallons of petrol with 4p change (1964 about this era)
But my wage, for a 48 hour week, was 28 shillings. I was a 17 year old apprentice.
A bike was a better option. GrinGrin

I used to pour Rs 1.65 for a liter of petrol in 1976,in my old Ideal Jawa. Now it is Rs 80 /liter. Inflation >>>>
