Thanks Dan, Be careful what you ask for though as I have a lot of them. They really are majestic structures.

  • Fox in wait

I love how you framed it perfectly to take advantage of the vegetation while accentuating the foxes eyes.

    Quote:I agree with Sean
The chid nestles neatly inside the legs but the fathers head looks awkward and the space above the head adds nothing to the composition. in many ways the comp would have been improved in horizontal format wth the full extent of the fathers knees included.

the fathers head would have looked better with eye contact with the child rather than the viewer looking down upon it. this may have required a higher position of the child. i just feel the best or most comfortable pose has been discovered here.

as presented, i applaud the choice to use mono and would suggest a much tighter crop to square which would concentrate the focus on the child.

    best regards

Thanks for all of your suggestions and comments. I blurred out a greater distraction on the top however I guess didn't feel I could black it out completely as it didn't feel honest to the natural shot but you are right, its my shot, why not. I think that is why I was wanting to crop it more but I also now see that the horizontal format, cutting off his legs was subconsciously bothering me as well. I am going to post an additional version that I did just after I posted this one (as soon as the timer will let me). I couldn't change the format but I added a duotone tint and tighter crop.
