  • More ducks

    Thanks Guys,
I like the mod, particularly the exposure comp. I felt sorry for the ducks bottom left.
Re more MP: would I not have a better enlargement option? (Still using the same lens )

  • Honestly, it's only steam!

Thanks folks. Lack of motivation really.
Hope to improve. Will try some mods myself (ccd cleaned now)
There is a coal fired power station downstream over the horizon which sometimes puts a yellow (sulphur ?) streak along the horizon I would like to get both but unlikely.

Good light, fast glass and a great eye.
    Good stuff, John

  • Wierd tree for modification

Thanks very much Pamela and Moira, This is what I was hoping for. The seagulls bring Alfred Hitchcock to mind.
I will try a couple of angles and directions next week and upload for critique.
I am a bit confused about using a longer lens as I used an 18-70. I will try a 70-300 and stand in the next countySmile
    Thanks again

"41 years of undetected crime" to quote Joe Kelly!
I can't wait to follow your example.
    Best of luck Maurice,

  • River Shannon shoreline, looking down river against setting sun

    Thanks Coast,
No detail, full whiteout, the sun was just outside the frame. I had cupped my hand top right of the hood to reduce the burnout.
Would a polarising filter ( I have one ) help?

    Thanks very much,
