no surprise this won first prize. this is so joyous. that main character (with is corporate businessman looks but boyish bewilderment) is just so eyecatching, and the angle and balloons really give the impression you're looking at people witnessing a very special event. Actually it doesn't really look like a wedding shot, but is rather remeniscent in mood of older photos from NY ticker tape parades, presidential conventions in celebration, stock market euphoria. Love it.

Excellent and well-deserved result Claire, congratulations. Sorry that I haven't commented before but I haven't been keeping up to date with epz so much recently.
I think that belgikskenikske and mrswoolybill have covered my comments on the image generally. I am not too sure that the face in the blh corner works - she distracts from the star of the show, but I appreciate that it is important to have the one complete photo/ribbon/ballon above to complete the story. I am also sure that, as a wedding shot, your clients would want her included.
Interesting how international judges and the epz masses have different preferences - just like club competitions really.
Well done again. Top work.
