Mushroom Cloud

By clayman
Saw this large toadstool this afternoon in Ampthill Park, Bedfordshire, England. Ground dry, so laid down to get shot I wanted.

This is the kind of shot that I love taking, I continue to be amazed by DOF, I dunno why.
The composition is great and that classic duo of sky and field will always work well.
Interesting subject.
Great work!

Good angle and composition. Colour is great. I love this. If I had to be picky I'd say the longer pieces of grass maybe detract a little. Not much to pick really lol

I like the idea and fair play to you for getting down and half dirty. My constructive crit. would be that the light is very harsh and unflattering. A burn brush might put a bit of detail in the cloud possibly. But hey nice idea, and we can't all go ack at 5am to get it perfect LOL

great angle, no doubt about it.
For me, because the sky is so strong and interesting, I would maybe have used a wider angle lens and very narrow aperture to get it all sharp. And a small reflector to get some light under the 'shroom - where it's most interesting!
