Same image upload...

There is nothing written here in the terms of using the site how many times you can upload a same image that you have already uploaded here before in your pf...

To me the term 'Same Image' excludes the following...

1. A same image but one in colour and the other one is in monochrome...
2. A same story but both the images are different if you compare...
3. A same image but the second one is modified or corrected after critical analysis either by the photographer on his own or after getting some suggestion regarding it...

I regularly upload here but unfortunately i regularly don't get the opportunity to capture new images as i am a public servant, so if i have to get in touch with the fellow members of this community here or to communicate with them, i had to upload a few times same images but i always tried to modify those images before uploading so that i can atleast compare the response that might help me in future...

But uploading an image again and again without any modification or any alteration is somehow immoral if you think and it is wastage of valuable space...what do you think...

Something interesting from an ordinary one...

I have tried to find out a very ordinary image from my Hard disk to make it a bit interesting bearing in my mind, some acceptable rules in many competitions...Increasing contrast, Cropping, inverting & conversion to monochrome are generally accepted....

I thought it was not allowed by the site. My guess was that the site had such a software that would compare any new uploading onto the portfolio with previous photos and if found to be duplicate and exactly the same it would reject it. I was wrong though as other members told me.

I have seen the exact same picture of the infamous reclining lady uploaded time and time again. And then again. I guess someone is both very proud and forgetful.

Uploading the same image time after time without any changes or specific reasons is naughty and....boring, quite frankly.
I can never understand the reason for doing so, unless it is to gather votes, comments, or awards.
The only exception is perhaps when an image is uploaded into the Critique Gallery and then re-loaded into the Main Gallery on a different day.
