hoop rolling (trundling)... a popular pastime with us kids in Russia when we were about the same age as the boy in your pic.. except that we rolled discarded bicycle wheel rims...
a fine shot, Somnath, a sad kid too.. one can imagine how happy he would be to get a real bike...
