A glorious image, Jeanie. I trust the rug wasn't rolled up inside that huge snowball! Carol

Own up you made it yourself Wink

This is a terrific shot with beautiful colours a cracking sky and compositional clarity. I'm still undecided about the snowball but given the time of year I guess it's quite eloquent.

Thank you Paul, Chris, John, Laurel, Fraser, Carol, Tony, Joan, Adrian, Chris, Alun and Sylvia.

Carol he has been resembling a snowball this last week but not inside that one, lol! Smile

Chris now you know full well if I was trying to make that, the Rug would be chasing after it and I would never be able to make it to that size! Wink

I quite like the snowball TBH but I think the image could be equally as good without it & perhaps a mono version would be in order.Having said that, the stunning light hitting the trees is rather splendid & would perhaps the impact of said light would be lost in a mono .

Really excellent stuff. Didn't like the snowball for the first few seconds then suddenly loved it, especially 'stepping back' mentally away from the image. The snowball gives it an abstract feel and power as a result. Making the viewer double-take is always a good thing I feel.

This is outstanding Jeanie! Beautifully captured in everyway but it's the contrast of colour from the vegetation against the snow that really makes this for me - that and the exquisite light too Wink

Hope you had a lovely Christmas!

Effective and minimal, the exposure - colours and simple details all work so well together and reflect well upon the season...

Just come back to this Jeanie, thought i'd left you a comment but I hadn't. (must be all that sherry LOL)

This is one of your best, I just love the warm colour in the trees and sky against the stark cold snow.

Hope you and the rug had a good xmas.
