You capture loneliness and memories very well.
There's a line in Virgil's Aeneid, 'Sunt lacrimae rerum et mentem mortalia tangunt.' - There are tears in things, and mortal things touch the mind. It's about how places can work on our emotions.

A sense of an unseen person (standing where the photographer is) being left behind, she is walking away...

A superb picture, Somnath. The composition instantly attracted my attention. (But I don't think the view down a steep staircase is weird at all). I also like the way you captured and processed the scene to reveal subtle variation of tones and the rough textures in the shadows. Those textures go very well with those of the woman's skin and clothing in the sunlight. Bob

This lovely lady seems to become a living part of whichever background she is in. She doesn't merge, she stands out and becomes part of it.

Well taken Somnath.

I sense a feeling of coolness in those cement walls. Loneliness too. I have the feeling she is your mother or grandmother and loves you a lot. She would pose or do anything you asked of her. I think she is well loved. A wonderful image Somnath.
