Larger than Life

By clive burrow
Last one in my series of Grasshopper shots.
This is another one using my extension tube together with my Macro Lens.

This is in fact 2 shots stichted together using photoshop.

Exif info 1/2 second at f19.

One thing I've learnt this week is how shooting against a white background highlights how much dirt etc is on your lens and sensor.

Tim,

very much alive, My wife wouldn't come into the kitchen where I set up my mini studio until I'd finished shooting and let the grasshopper go outside. Thanks for looking

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to look and comment, it's much appreciated.

Lauren, it was lit from one side by natural daylight and also by a speedlite hand held off the camera.

Excellent work and detail Clive. Being honest I prefer this to your previous upload. I love the plain white b/g, very effective.
