On the Gas

By Coast
Stage 21 of the Tour De France 2011 and the final lap with around 750m to go to the line on the Champs Elysee. Mark Cavendish being led out by the HTC train with Mark Renshaw pictured in front of the Manx Missile as Edvald Boassen Hagen of Team Sky tries to keep on Cav's wheel.

This was taken as the Peleton swung off the Rue De Rivoli and hit the Place de la Concorde before switching into the Champs Elysee and the finish line.

It was a great day and capped off with Cav winning the Stage and taking the Maillot Vert home for the first time.

Appreciate any comments as always.

First class sports photograph, shows all the speed, power and sheer grit and determination of these tough, so very tough, sportsmen. Great finish to an excellent tour; well captured.
