Whitby in the mist

By Coast
A second image from my day out in Whitby. A nice day out although misty and somewhat gloomy.

I am not sure about this but my wife likes it so I thought I'd upload it to see what the wider world thought - so would love to hear your comments/advice.

Converted to B/W in CS3 and a sepia tone added. Inspired by the great Frank Meadow Sutcliffe famous for his captivating images of Whitby from the turn of the century.

This does have a timeless feel to it. Great work.

Minor suggestion: there's a thing near the window closest to the top-left corner. I'm not sure what it is (street lamp?) but cloning it out would be good, as it contains a strong black that seems out of place.

Thank you for all the comments.

Dricherby - it is a window and I see what you mean. Reference Gambian Boy - funnily enough I did a version with the runny nose "cleaned" up and decided that I preferred it left in as it said something about boys or children everywhere. Regardless of culture a runny nose just doesnt bother young children. Thank you for your observations however they are appreciated as are all comments.

Despite the people on the bridge, I like the stillness of this.
