    I'm sorry, but I disagree with the above comments. Firstly the colours are rather dull, the composition is not the best I've seen as everthing seems a bit of a muddle. The shot is also out of focus and there is evidence of camera shake. Try raising your ISO or stop down to about F8 to get a faster shutter speed and use a tripod!

    Thanks for the comments and yes Paul I know all about depth of field and f stops, but thanks anyway its nice to know that there are people out there who are willing to help. The problem I had with this shot was the light, hence f2.5 and shooting at an ISO of 800. It was the focusing I had difficulty with. I have looked at your portfolio and wondered how you managed to get the focus right on the bird in flight shots (did you use autofocus?).
