Afghan in pictures No.12

A young boy pushes a wheelbarrow down a back street in Kandahar city.
The wheelbarrow already made from solid looking steel parts is made heavier by whatever is in it.
The boy lifts it and walks forward as far as he can before putting it down for a quick rest. Although obviously heavy and hard work, every time he puts it down he has a smile for the camera.

A great and strong image of childhood in wartimes. Lovely smile.
