Thanks for looking at my images. I am inspired by the wonderful scenery and nature that surrounds me in the Scottish Highlands and I hope some of that is represented in my images.

  • The road less travelled...

    It's actually an old road.

Andy, Excellent image but the watermark doesn't do it any favours at all. Maybe if it had been bottom left it wouldn't be so distracting.

Thanks as always CollenW and Steve I appreciate the comments. The image is a 5 shot HDR (-2,-1,0,+1,+2) processed in NIK HDR Pro 2, so there was no grad used (I did take straight grad shots but couldn't get the colour on the rocks which I think makes the shot). I then used NIK Color efex to boost the contrast and curves which had the effect of increasing the overall saturation. I didn't add saturation as such but did add a touch of vibrance. I personally prefer more muted colours but I have to say on this occasion the sky was very colourful and if you look at my other shot from a couple of days past you will see that after the sun went down it turned pretty red and yet the horizon retains the same orange glow. I don't dislike the shot but I agree it is very orange so not to everyones taste Smile

Would be interested to hear what others think but I certainly appreciate you taking the time to comment.
