Welcome to my portfolio.

I have been a member for over 11 years, lurking in the background and didn't think I particularly cared what others thought of my work .................. how delusional was that? So if you like what you see, let me know. If you don't like, you should really, really, let me know. Smile

A quick view of ColinEJ's recent activity.

  • Kingfisher

    Thank you for that David.

I went into the hide at 8:00am and left at 8:50 pm, nearly 13 hours waiting for something to happen. During that time I had 5 Kingfishers show and managed plenty of shots on the perch, but they were so fast during the dive, with no pre-warning they were about to dive, that the diving shots were difficult to come by. For the dive shots, I ended up with 11 keepers and many many more that were out of focus.

I would have been happy with just this one, so I treat the other 10 as a bonus. Grin

  • 1940's me!

Stunning in any decade ........................ and no doubt far more fun than my Camera Club social, where the highlight of the evening is the Zimmer Frame race! Smile

  • Buzzard...

Beautifully captured, in gorgeous light, with plenty of detail in the shadows.

  • Red line

A very original interpretation of this local iconic landmark. Great use of diagonals to provide a strong composition and lead-in to the focal point of the shot.

  • Good morning, sunrise!

Now that is a well seen, clever shot, that the majority of us would have walked by without noticing.

What a striking, beautifully lit image.

  • Saker Falcon

That Saker deserved better than a white sky and you have done well adding that one. Smile

  • Having enjoyed and favourably commented on some of your work, it was time to visit your Portfolio and it doesn't disappoint. There are many gems here that I missed along the way. You have a good eye for a picture and the talent to present it at its best.
  • This truly is a magical realm, to relax, to enjoy and to wonder.

  • I have enjoyed your portfolio. Interesting, imaginative and high quality.
  • I chanced upon your portfolio and thoroughly enjoyed your work.

  • Really enjoyed your portfolio Rich, especially the Sparrowhawk, which I have never managed to get a decent shot of.
  • Just happened across your portfolio and have enjoyed your bird shots. It appears we have very similar interests and and visit similar locations.
  • Beautifully taken birds, particularly the Waxwings, which I have never been able to get a decent picture of.
  • Marvellous collection Trev - you make the difficult appear easy.

  • I see we have birds in flight as a common interest, tricky little devils aren't they?

Your O'Halloran footbridge is a beautiful sunset.

  • So glad I popped by to see your portfolio of well seen, technically excellent images, with a sprinkling of humour amongst them.
