Clampit

By colingamble
This was my first attempt at painting with light. It was taken in my garage in complete darkness, using just a pencil torch. I had tried this setup before with flash, and daylight, but could never get the lighting right. Using a torch I could bring out the texture of the wood, and highlight each feature of the clamps to show them off to their best. This was a series of 8 photos using the photo stack method in photoshop. I am really pleased with the result and am now planning to use this method for many more subjects.

Love this......One reason is because ai too have a workshop containing many old, beautifully crafted tools.... I have pics in my portfolio.

You have made a wonderful job of this....hence my award.

It's your technique that impresses me most, something worth remembering. And your photo stacking has been carried out to perfection, showing so much texture and detail in the tools. That torch has done an excellent job, too.
