Good evening.... internet mostly down at the Lodge, amazed I managed to upload this...
A big thank you to Jukka for his UA for my Dunes, much appreciated.
We arrived at the Lodge in the rain but it cleared up and we had a great game drive and a sunset. There has been so much rain and the dirt tracks are water logged. Got stuck going through a river bed yesterday and this afternoon got stuck in thick mud. Both times Rob and I had to get out of the vehicle while they dug it out of the mud. I had one eye on the bush looking out for animals and the other eye capturing photos.
Have seen elephant, rhino and buffalo. The cats are there but we cannot see them for the long grass and dense bush....another look tomorrow
This is a rhino and her teenage calf we came across earlier today..
V2....yesterday stuck in the mud episode

This is lovely Colleen...a great mother and baby shot! Can jsut imagine your trials and tribulations re getting stuck. Like you I would have been casting an anxious eye towards the bush in case one of the big cats or even an elly suddenly emerged! Ann.

Mum and son/daughter are posing perfectly for you in v1 Colleen, how lucky you were that they were so obliging. As for v2 that made me smile, I wonder if this was the guy who drove Simon Fletcher about on his last jaunt!Wink
