Frozen in time ...Lily

By ColleenA
Good morning.....
Thank you for your continued support....
I have decided to give my Wildlife images a rest as I have been pursuing other genres of photography the last few weeks and have been itching to upload them. Frozen flower photography has held my interest for ages and Myra got me motivated to try it for myself... this is my first attempt. Its quite a lot of work as the freezing is done in layers. I used a light box to light the ice block and used a lamp for side lighting
Have a great day

After this winter the idea of the poor lily freezing made me shiver. An interesting technique. My daughter does research into malaria and they have to get blood from mosquitoes. She is very soft hearted and makes her assistants always freeze the mosquito before killing it. Me, I just don't think about mosquitoes and if they bite me - splat! I am not very fond of cut flowers anyway and much prefer them growing and you gave me food for thought Colleen, poor little things slowly dying in a vase while we are saying "how pretty". GrinGrin
