Spring nectar.

An Eastern spinebill drinking nectar ....Spring has really arrived in Melbourne
Many thanks for your votes comments and user awards all much appreciated

We didn√ƒā¬’t get any good news on Sunday from our Premier of Victoria. Melbourne has a population of 6 million people and we had 55 positive cases overnight and currently have 1781 active cases yet he has extended our extreme shutdown For another 6 weeks minimum, the only change is single people are now allowed a visitor at their home with strict conditions .. go figure this out... you can visit someone for sex with no conditions but if I wish to visit a single friend in their home we both have to wear a mask. I may as well find a lover... Friends with benefits. Obviously the virus only attack friends and not lovers. Also our home arrest is only 22 hours a day now. I am beyond devastated.

A beautiful bird. It seems to have got some yellow paint on its head.

I can understand your frustration Colleen. In Scotland the government refuses to close pubs which are clearly spreading the virus yet I am not allowed to meet with the local painting group. Only money matters.

Tough times Colleen !! doesn't add up either. Strange conditions, but a good image all the same. Stay safe out there.

Making use of the long beak!
Your lockdown guidance/rules have been draconian
and laughable with new advice!
We currently can't have anybody in our homes for the next two weeks.
There is a lot of rebellion instead of using common sense.

Problem is we have been in lockdown for 6 months with no break. We have no rights or freedom anymore. Cannot move more than 5 kms from home. You can have holidays and go to restaurants and shops. We have forgotten what itís like. We arenít even allowed to drive anywhere let alone fly anywhere.

Yes, you'll have to find a lover and have plenty of sex, never mind this photography which is harmful to your health 😬 It's no incentive for people to abide by the rules when there are rules for some but not the same rules for others, and encourages people to be rebellious 😡
Anyway, this is a very lovely capture of your Spinebill feeding, Colleen, may you continue to be able to go photograph these subjects 😃👍
