The Flower and the Hummingbird hawk moth

By ColleenA
Good morning from a wet Cape Town....

A BIG THANK YOU to Ryan (Bigry1) for his UA yesterday and to everyone who continues to vote for my images.

The day I took a walk in our garden with my Nikon and 40mm lens to capture the Cosmos, I stopped to admire these little beauties
... lo and behold about 3 metres into the garden was a Hummingbird hawk moth feeding on the flowers. As I did not have my telephoto lens and am forbidden to walk in the flower beds, I had to make the most of the moment, hence my Versions 2,3,4 and 5. V5 I managed to get a full on shot of the patterns on his wings. Lesson learnt....carry 2 lensesGrinGrinGrin
Have a great day......GrinGrinGrinGrin
