Through the arch

Still on Port Arthur’s penal colony. This is a view from the ruins of the convict hospital looking towards Smith O’Briens cottage. The first version is a view from a window of the hospital looking towards the Mental asylum.
The other versions are a full view of what’s left of the hospital and of the Asylum.

A fine set of detailed shots further documenting this historic penal site, and a site which appears to be in beautiful spot. Quite different I'd guess to the conditions at the time.
From a purely compositional viewpoint, V 3 is also a favourite for me, but each shot tells a story.
