Through the growth

By ColleenA
Good morning...hope you all had a good weekend...
A big thank you to Kate (Irishkate) for awarding me her UA, much appreciated
One from my weekend macro course....learnt 2 things...my eyes need testing as we had to work on manual focus and secondly I do not want to lose my creativity by doing extremely close macro work ( Barbara Hirst will be happy )...I however had great fun and met nice people.
Have a nice dayGrinGrinGrin

Lovely dof on this one Colleen and a very nice choice of subject. Manual focus can be very frustrating at times but stick with it as it gives you a lot more control. I'm getting used to it now as only one of my film cameras has autofocus.

A really lovely result of some fine foccusing!
Macro is a good discipline to learn about your camera
bu it's good to discover what your own specialities are too.
I love the exercise set in this image from sharp to soft.

More, please, Colleen.
I don't see that doing macro work will make you lose your creativity - au contraire, It will make you think differently and explore new ideas...?

This stands out so well against that supersoft background, Colleen. And I really like how the sharpness emerges from the softness so gradually and smoothly.
